DOROT helps elders to maintain their independence and to live with dignity in their own homes. DOROT's staff of social workers draws invaluable support from an ever-growing volunteer corps. Volunteers are the heartbeat of the agency and are the largest such group assisting the city's elderly. Many of DOROT's elder and volunteers live on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
